Greetings! We have just arrived in one of our favorite winter places,
Tucson, and hope you have been well during our long silent summer and fall. There
has been an amazing development for the BusRoads duo. The beginning of our
annual concert tour took us through Ashland, Oregon, where we spent the winter
holidays with family. About 4 miles from Ashland is a small community called
Talent and we saw something in that town that changed our lives. The story
begins at a coffee shop in Talent. (It seems that our biggest adventures are
launched in such places.) We sipped hot
java and perused the local reading material, including a real estate ad for
little historic house only a couple of blocks from the coffee shop. On the way
back to the car, we walked past the house and thought it quite charming. Well,
that little charmer stayed in our thoughts and somehow convinced us that Talent
would be a fine place to call home. The house is a fixer-upper, which brought
the price down to a reasonable range so, to make a long story short, we bought
it!! We are still pinching ourselves in amazement! It has not yet been
determined what effect this will have on our traveling lives but we do not
intend to stop touring completely. We also have no plans to give up our
property on the Olympic Peninsula. This is all very new so we will just have to
keep you posted. Meanwhile, we are going to continue on our concert tour of California,
Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado as planned, but we are very excited about
going home to our very own house in Talent, Oregon next May!
